Advanced 3D Imaging for More Precise, Personalized Care

Imagine your dentist seeing your smile in remarkable detail before treatment even begins.

Advanced dental imaging gives us a detailed 3D view of your teeth, jawbone, nerves, and surrounding structures, helping us diagnose concerns and plan treatment with greater precision.

Advanced 3D CBCT dental imaging

Better Information Leads to Better Treatment

Traditional dental X-rays provide valuable information, but some conditions require a more detailed view. Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) creates a three-dimensional image of your teeth, jawbone, airway, and surrounding anatomy, allowing us to evaluate areas that can't always be seen with standard dental X-rays.

CBCT can help us diagnose complex conditions and plan treatment when traditional dental X-rays don't provide enough information.

Why Patients Benefit From 3D CBCT Imaging

3D CBCT imaging provides a more complete view of your teeth, jaw, and surrounding anatomy when additional detail is needed for diagnosis or treatment planning.

CBCT imaging may be recommended if you:
  • 01 Are considering dental implants
  • 02 Need evaluation before oral surgery
  • 03 Have complex dental concerns that require additional imaging
  • 04 Have jaw pain or TMJ-related symptoms
  • 05 Need a more detailed evaluation than traditional dental X-rays can provide
  • 06 Are planning a procedure that requires detailed anatomical information
If 3D imaging is recommended, we'll explain why it's useful for your specific care.
Benefits of 3D CBCT Imaging

More Than a Detailed Picture

CBCT provides detailed information that can improve diagnosis and treatment planning.

More Precise Diagnosis

Three-dimensional imaging allows us to evaluate your teeth, jawbone, nerves, and surrounding structures in greater detail than traditional two-dimensional X-rays alone.

Detailed Treatment Planning

Whether you're receiving dental implants, oral surgery, or another complex procedure, CBCT imaging allows us to carefully plan your treatment based on your unique anatomy.

Improved Accuracy

A more complete understanding of your oral structures helps us perform many procedures with greater precision and confidence.

Better Patient Education

Three-dimensional images allow you to see what we see. We'll review your scans together, explain our findings, and help you understand your diagnosis and treatment options.

More Predictable Care

Detailed imaging helps us anticipate anatomical considerations before treatment begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Regular digital X-rays provide enough information for many routine dental needs. A CBCT scan may be recommended when we need a more detailed three-dimensional view of your teeth, jawbone, nerves, or surrounding structures to diagnose a concern or plan treatment.

CBCT imaging may be used when planning dental implant treatment because it allows us to evaluate the jawbone and nearby anatomy in three dimensions. We’ll determine whether the scan is appropriate based on your individual treatment needs.

In certain situations, yes. The three-dimensional images can provide additional information about areas that may be difficult to evaluate with standard dental X-rays. We only recommend CBCT when that additional detail is clinically useful.

CBCT does use radiation, so we follow a simple rule: we only recommend a scan when the added detail can meaningfully guide your diagnosis or treatment. If you have questions or concerns about imaging, we’re happy to talk through them before your scan.

We’ll review the images, explain any findings that may affect your care, and discuss whether additional evaluation or treatment is recommended. If appropriate, we can also use the images to help plan your next steps.

Not necessarily. CBCT is not part of every routine dental visit. We only take another scan if something changes and an updated 3D view would help plan your care.

Better Diagnostics. More Confident Care.

When more detail is needed, 3D CBCT imaging can help us see clearly and plan with precision.
